SafePath is a white-label digital safety platform for mobile operators, designed to give families peace of mind through location tracking, screen time management, and content control across all devices. Verizon partnered with SafePath to adapt the platform to its own brand and launch it as Smart Family.

I was involved in the adaptation of SafePath’s white-label platform to Verizon’s Smart Family, ensuring brand alignment, consistency across platforms, and scalability within an existing design system.

Adapting SafePath to Verizon’s ecosystem
Adapting SafePath to Verizon’s ecosystem
When I joined the project, the process of adapting SafePath to Verizon’s Smart Family ecosystem was already in motion.
I was responsible for reviewing, validating, and refining work in progress, acting as the primary design point of contact for the client while supporting ongoing feature requests. The challenge was ensuring consistency and correctness across a large set of screens, within Verizon’s standards and a carrier-grade environment.

Standardising icon creation and management
Standardising icon creation and management
As the product scaled, icon usage became inconsistent. Some icons lacked full variants (outline, duotone, filled), making reuse and maintenance harder across the system.
I created a simple icon framework defining construction rules, variants, and export guidelines. This ensured visual consistency, reduced rework, and made icon creation and management predictable across teams.
As Deepbond evolved, premium plans expanded, but screens lacked clear differentiation and scannability.
I improved clarity by differentiating plans through color, reducing visual noise, and strengthening hierarchy within the existing visual direction, enabling a fast and efficient implementation.
