Improving consistency and efficiency in a legacy healthcare system.
Improving consistency and efficiency in a legacy healthcare system.

I worked as a UX Designer on ehCOS, focusing on modernising a legacy healthcare interface and introducing structural consistency to support faster, more reliable delivery.
CHALLENGE
Establishing a shared component library
Establishing a shared component library
When I joined the team, the product relied on a static style guide built in Axure, which limited reuse and required components to be recreated screen by screen.
I translated the existing visual guidelines into shared styles and reusable components in Adobe XD, introducing consistency where it didn’t previously exist and significantly reducing repetitive design work.

Enabling faster delivery through structure
Enabling faster delivery through structure
I led the transition of the design team from Axure to Adobe XD, introducing shared styles and reusable components to bring structure to day-to-day design work.
This reduced repetitive tasks, improved consistency, and made screen creation faster and more predictable.
Based on internal estimation, it resulted in an approximate 25% reduction in design effort when creating and updating screens.

Exploring interface modernisation in a legacy system
Exploring interface modernisation in a legacy system
The ehCOS interface reflected years of technical prioritisation, resulting in dense layouts and low visual clarity.
I explored a modernisation proposal focused on improving contrast, spacing, and consistency, while preserving existing workflows and domain logic.
